About us
TRANSLATION-PROBST supports its clients’ multilingual communication needs by providing a range of professional translation and language services – to make sure the message gets across.
Based in Winterthur, Switzerland, TRANSLATION-PROBST was set up by Roman Probst (Communication Studies graduate) in April 2005. Within just three years the translations and communications agency has developed from an up-and-coming new business into an established SME with more than 250 qualified and experienced translators, proofreaders, writers and interpreters under contract.
TRANSLATION-PROBST stands for top quality, reliability and customer orientation. These values guide our work and are embedded in our core principles.
Translations are a matter of trust. A translation is a service that the customer is rarely able to check in detail straight away. With this in mind, we at TRANSLATION-PROBST make it our business to handle that trust with care. We seek to honour it in every possible way – every day.
Top quality is our benchmark. We achieve this by applying quality assurance: qualified translators translate the texts into their native language. Each translation is then checked by a qualified proof-reader. Prior to delivery, all translations are subjected to a terminology and lay-out check.
Our customers can rely on us to keep to deadlines Termine. Our electronic early warning system guarantees that the customer receives his/her translation or text as ordered – in 3 hours, 8 hours, or in 1, 3 or 5 working days.
Transparency of costs is guaranteed at all times. Our customers have a right to know what they are paying for. They receive a detailed invoice for every order, enabling them to identify each individual item. Price, time spent and any surcharges applicable are all listed clearly and accompanied by an explanation.
Customer-friendliness is our primary precept. In addition to offering tailored advice and personalised contact, our customers can place their orders around the clock using our online software Online-Software and obtain quotes within seconds – worldwide, from any PC with Internet access.
Our success in putting these principles into practice has borne fruit.
In July 2006 TRANSLATION-PROBST was honoured by the business support agency IFJ (St. Gallen, Switzerland) as Young Business of the Month.
In November 2006 TRANSLATION-PROBST was featured in the pages of renowned business daily Handelszeitung as a model SME.
In December 2006 Roman Probst won the Students-to-Business prize, awarded by the University of Applied Sciences and other institutions in the city of Winterthur.
