Roman Probst featured speaker at 7th "Award CC" prize ceremony
Award Corporate Communications, the jury awarded a "Communicator" to the most innovative campaigns. Before the ceremony took place, Roman Probst spoke about the role of social media in corporate communications together with Dr. Guido Keel, lecturer and media scientist, and Google expert Beat Z’graggen.
The winners of this year’s Award CC were the vocational training association "login Berufsbildung" and the Zurich agency "Jung von Matt/Limmat Public Relations" with their
respective campaigns "Login macht Erfolgsstorys möglich" and "Tecmania – steig ein in die Welt der Technik". In addition to the Award CC, a category prize for social media campaigns was also awarded for the first time in Switzerland. After an intense voting period with more than 8,400 people participating via Facebook, the deal provider "DeinDeal.ch" took top honours. TRANSLATION-PROBST plc came in 8th with its Professor Tell campaign and even beat out the campaigns from Calida, Gillette and Mammut.
The time between the prize ceremonies was highlighted by a wide variety of exciting presentations. Hanning Kempe, CEO of the competition’s sponsor, Grayling Switzerland, addressed the very relevant topic of currency exchange rates with his presentation entitled "lCommunication in the tense setting of the euro crisis".
Prior to this, Roman Probst, CEO of TRANSLATION-PROBST plc, spoke about the role of social media in corporate communications together with Dr. Guido Keel, lecturer and media scientist at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, and Google expert Beat Z’graggen. Guido Keel made the statement that "only when the target audience recognises the added value of a social media application is value created for the company as well". Beat Z’graggen and Roman Probst went on to explain what this recognition signifies in a practical sense.

Record number of visitors and eight happy winners of gold coins at SuisseEMEX’11
SuisseEMEX’11 attracted more visitors than ever before in its history. Of the approximately 13'000 visitors, more than 1200 also dropped by the stands of TRANSLATION-PROBST and Worldsites.
Both at the stands and during the presentation by Roman Probst and Google expert Beat Z’graggen at the Online Forum, visitors learned how companies can win customers and visibly increase sales thanks to targeted online marketing and accurate texts and translations.
At the Eye-Catcher-Stand in Hall 3, visitors could also take a shot with a virtual crossbow, while things became more serious in Hall 4. There, brave archers could shoot a genuine crossbow with Professor Tell.
Some of the crossbow archers were just as accurate as our marketing texts and specialist translations. Here are the jubilant winners of the gold coins: Samir El Borgi, Tiffany Münch, Christoph von Däniken, Markus Huber, Tina Baumgarten, Leandra Hua Hasler, Giuseppe Guanci and Daniel Vareta.

Swiss Tourism Day (3.5.2011, Geneva)
What is Switzerland doing to ensure a successful future in tourism? Every year Schweiz Tourismus organises Swiss Tourism Day, with around 1500 representatives from the fields of tourism, economics, culture and politics focussing on how to successfully prepare for challenges in tourism marketing.
Highlights of Swiss Tourism Day 2011 included keynote speeches from politician Johann Schneider-Ammann and CEO of SRG SSR, Roger de Weck. TRANSLATION-PROBST was present as an exhibitor, opposite the SBB CFF FFS and Schweiz Tourismus stands.

The New Year started with fresh ideas and valuable contacts
Celebrationpoint- Switzerland’s biggest network of experts in the MICE industry- organised the Business Roadshow at the Zürich Kongresshaus.

Visitors found out the answers to these questions at a lunchtime presentation on 19th October 2010, presented by Professor Dr Jürg Martin (Chairman of the MSM Group) and Roman Probst.
As well as up-to-date and practical information for SMEs, visitors to the presentation could also gain some more know-how, establish new contacts and meet acquaintances.
Fifth anniversary celebration (3. 9. 2010 in Winterthur)
TRANSLATION-PROBST has been synonymous with top-quality translations and texts for five years - that’s an anniversary that needed to be celebrated!
Around 65 guests - customers, partners and friends of TRANSLATION-PROBST enjoyed specialities from the countries whose languages we translate. Of course, the legendary Professor Tell was at the party too. Guests had a go at shooting the crossbow to see if they could hit the target, like our texts do.

SuisseEMEX, trade fair for marketing and communication (24. - 26.8.2010, Zürich)
As a partner of SuisseEMEX, TRANSLATION-PROBST was an exhibitor for the fifth consecutive year at Switzerland’s leading advertising and communications trade fair. The motto of our stand was “Texts and Translations adapted to your target audience”.
As well as TRANSLATION-PROBST’s established team, Professor Tell was there with his crossbow to look after our stand. Tell supports the team of 30 professors who work for us. Thanks to them, we always hit the target with your audience- just like Tell with his crossbow.
Nearly 500 visitors to the trade fair shot Tell’s crossbow. The best shots won vouchers for translations. We counted around 250 participants in the online crossbow competition. Facebook fans of Professor Tell and TRANSLATION-PROBST have until 1st January 2011 to enter the draw to win such attractive prizes as a language course in Australia.

Lessons from the world of work (26.03.2010, St. Gallen)
FH SWITZERLAND is the umbrella organisation for graduates of all Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences and thus the essential network for 40,000 young professionals. FH SWITZERLAND organised the career development event with 300 university graduates and invited guests from the political and economic fields.
Working groups defined new standards to maintain the unique profile of Swiss university graduates and guarantee employability. Roman Probst led one such discussion group in his capacity as an Applied Sciences graduate and an official partner of FH SWITZERLAND.
The working groups presented their results to the universities and to the Swiss government as part of the educational consultation process.

At the School of Business at Zurich’s University of Applied Sciences (HWZ), Roman Probst described his experience as an entrepreneur to students and professors, as well as providing practical tips for success from his own personal start-up. During the subsequent panel discussion, Roman Probst responded to questions from the audience.
The optional ‘Entrepreneurship’ course at the HWZ teaches its students the necessary business administration knowledge for setting up and managing a company. The event was organised by KTI and venturelab, which provide targeted support for Swiss start-up companies in the high-tech environment.

MICE: Specialist Event and Promotion Trade Fair
In January and February 2010, Celebrationpoint invited participants to come ‘On Board’. Selected event planners and providers achieved lift-off together at the MICE road show in Zurich, Basel and Lucerne, making new contacts in an easy-going atmosphere and planning unforgettable events.

Around 229 exhibitors presented new products from industries such as fire and disaster protection, surveillance technology, industrial safety and forensic science.

IFAS: Trade Fair for the healthcare market (28-30.10.2009, Lausanne)
At the trade fair for medical and hospital supplies in the Palais de Beaulieu in Lausanne doctors, medical engineers and other health professionals exchanged ideas about innovations and trends. At this year's fair, you could learn about topics such as diagnostics, rehabilitation, nursing, electro medicine - and translation.

Suisse-EMEX’08 was a huge success and the exhibitors were completely satisfied with how things went. Instead of being a mere observer, TRANSLATION-PROBST was right at the centre of the action with its booth right next to the MARCOM "experts’ stage", where interesting talks were given and industry insiders met eachother.
