Interview with Bettina Buomberger, Jacobs Foundation

Jacobs Foundation

1) How happy are you working with TRANSLATION-PROBST?
We are satisfied – the cooperation is working well.

2) Why did you choose TRANSLATION-PROBST to translate your texts? Does our terminology service have anything to do with your choice?
We chose TRANSLATION-PROBST because we have no native speakers here at the foundation. But we didn’t know beforehand that you offered a terminology service.

3) What do you think of our terminology service? Are you happy with it?
We are satisfied with it.

4) You work for Jacobs Foundation and so you work with marketing and technology every day.  Why is terminology so important in your industry?
Standardised terminology is especially important for us when it comes to branding: terms must be consistent.

5) Has anything changed for you or your firm since your texts have had consistent terminology?
We check all translated texts before they leave us, and this process has become easier thanks to standardised terminology.

6) With regards to our terminology service, what changes would you like to see in the future?
Because we are always coming up with new terms, it would be good if we could see the list biannually or quarterly – that way both of us would be kept up-to-date.

Summary: "We are happy to work with TRANSLATION-PROBST, because it is a reliable translation company. The terminology service is very important for our branding, as consistently translated terms need to be used in our texts."
