TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. at Hannover Messe 2013
Following our participation at Messe Frankfurt in 2012, when our CEO Roman Probst also gave a presentation on marketing texts, we are now heading to Germany once again. From 8 to 12 April 2013, we will be present at Hannover Messe – at the invitation of OSEC, the Swiss Confederation's centre of expertise for foreign trade. Hannover Messe is the world’s most important industrial trade fair, specialising in the areas of new technology and automation. In contrast to Frankfurt, TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. will be focusing on technical translations during its appearance in Hannover.
This type of translation is currently in great demand. New communication technologies, rapidly-changing processes and innovative products have increased the importance and challenges related to the communication of technical content. With our emphasis on top translation quality and uniform translations of technical terms (wording, terminology), we create true added value for technology companies. To guarantee this high degree of quality, we work with the latest tools for computer-aided translation, and every text is put through a proven, multi-level quality assurance process.
Get into digital shape
We're starting the 2013 exhibition year with a highlight! Professor Tell is going to return from his language trip around the world just in time for our third appearance at the Swiss Online Marketing exhibition at Messe Zurich on April 10 and 11. What will he be bringing with him? Adventures from all over the world along with his beloved crossbow, which you can use to try to hit the bull's eye.
In order to ensure that you also hit the bull's eye digitally, we would like to invite you to participate in our presentation that is focused entirely on search-engine-optimised web texts. The search robots from Google & Co. are now so clever that they can comprehend how relevant a text is based on its content and meaning. You can achieve top rankings with Google thanks to accurate texts and translations – and therefore you will also ‘score’ with your customers.
Do you already have questions about search-engine-optimised texts? We would be happy to advise you personally. Call us on 0840 123 456.

Turning an idea into your own company
At a start-up event organised by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and Technopark Winterthur on 10.12.2012, students from the ZHAW received valuable practical tips. They were able to hear first-hand how you can successfully start up, develop and operate your own company. Speakers also revealed what a start-up entrepreneur needs to bring to the table and what factors you should be aware of. In addition to Roman Probst, who shared his experiences as the founder and CEO of TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd., Dr. Thorsten Schwenke (www.thelkin.com ) and Dr. René Hausammann (www.tpw.ch) were also featured speakers.
"Turning your trade fair attendance into a successful event!"
In order to ensure that trade fair participation at home and abroad is always a success for entrepreneurs, OSEC organised an information event together with the IHK focusing on turning your trade fair attendance into a successful event at home and abroad. Participants heard from experts from a variety of sectors about what makes trade fair attendance a success. "Suisse Romandie Première"
Celebrationpoint AG wants to expand its network in the Romandie, the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in particular, so the largest Swiss network for the events sector (MICE = Meeting, Incentive, Congress & Event) was presenting itself for the first time with a kick-off event in Geneva on 8 November. With the motto "Une Soirée de Découverte & Inspiration" Celebrationpoint AG offered the entire MICE world a platform for exchanging ideas and networking.
As a translation service provider in the marketing and tourism branches, TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. was present as an onsite partner at this event in the Romandie.
"Advertising Day" (11/12 May 2012, Kursaal Bern)
"Swiss Made" quality label
This was the motto chosen by Schweizer Werbung, the umbrella association of the Swiss advertising industry, as it celebrated "Advertising Day" in the Kursaal Bern on 11 and 12 May 2012.
TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. presented itself as an official partner of Schweizer Werbung with its own booth and was able to take part in the presentations on exciting developments and trends in the advertising sector – including topics such as "Good advertising" and "Swissness in advertising."
All the experts were agreed on what constitutes good advertising: It should surprise, produce an emotional effect and be presented clearly and simply. The conclusion drawn on the topic of "Swissness and Swiss quality in advertising" was that Swiss companies should give themselves a great deal more credit for what they’ve accomplished, but should also constantly seek out new inspiration to ensure that they continue to create first-class advertising in the future as well.
The high-calibre audience appreciated not only the brilliant presentations but also the humorous, cheeky slam poetry performed by JaNaKlar and Simon Libsig. Neuropsychologist Dr. Lutz Jäncke amazed the audience with his lecture clearly contradicting the philosophy of the rational thinking human being. He proposed that the subconscious controls much more than we are aware of. This is an exciting concept for advertising because its constant objective is to determine and appeal to the innermost desires of customers.
TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. definitely has good memories of "Advertising Day", and would like to thank Schweizer Werbung warmly for the successful partnership and many years of cooperation they have shared.

TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. as a best-practice example for terminology and corporate language
SDL, the world’s leading software company in the area of translation and terminology management, visited Basel on 16 March 2012 with a best-practice roadshow for translation agencies. The objective was to demonstrate to Swiss translation services providers the importance of corporate language/terminology. In addition, the question of how terminology can be implemented practically was also addressed.
TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. has made a name for itself by being the first and as yet only translation company to offer a free terminology service to its corporate customers. Our reputation is such that our LSP partner, SDL, invited the CEO of our company to attend the roadshow in Basel as a best-practice speaker. On 16 March 2012, Roman Probst gave a presentation on the topic of "The importance of terminology in the context of corporate language." He demonstrated how uniform and consistent terminology produces significant added value, and how the creation of terminology databases is handled at TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd.
Read more here about the presentation!
Terminology is a key component of corporate identity, which is strengthened immensely by the use of uniform terminology. Another benefit is the increased degree of recognition among customers that a company experiences thanks to consistent corporate language. This also helps a company differentiate itself from the competition. Furthermore, because the need for specialised translations and the number of target languages are continually growing, uniform terminology is indispensable and ultimately invaluable. To meet these demands, TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. offers a comprehensive terminology service – and it’s even free for our corporate customers.
Swiss Online Marketing trade fair (14/15 March 2012, Zurich)
Use accurate texts to score points with Google and customers
Your customers and Google have one thing in common: they both like accurate texts that reach and connect with readers. In order to achieve a top ranking with both of them, you need clear communication goals and customised messages that are tailored to the specific cultural as well as local characteristics of your target audience. With the right keywords (covered by keyword marketing), messages take root more effectively in the consciousness of your target group. At the same time, search-engine relevance increases. Google quickly establishes how relevant a text is and adjusts the search rankings accordingly. This means that your potential customers will find you in the top position when they search for you online.
At the Swiss Online Marketing 2012 trade fair, Roman Probst and Google expert Beat Z'graggen emphasised how effective online and SEO marketing (search engine optimisation) can be in increasing revenue – provided that terminology and corporate wording are used correctly.
You, too, can increase the success of your online marketing by using targeted terminology. How do you go about it? Call us on 0840 123 456 – we’d love to tell you how.

On 12 April 2012, a Webinar by Roman Probst was held on the subject of "Terminology & Corporate Language: What’s in it for the customer?"
TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. is the exclusive partner of Celebrationpoint and provides its network – which includes hoteliers, event organisers and travel agencies – with tailor-made translations of brochures, newsletters and websites.
